Supplier Listing Guidelines

Rules around who can add their listing, location, industry, etc.

To be listed, you must have a registered business in the Sunshine Coast Council region that provides services or venues to the events and sporting industry. If you are unsure if your business can be on the site, please email [email protected].

Please note, one user can have multiple listings.

Recommendations for adding a good listing:

To ensure your business is found by potential consumers please ensure you complete the become a supplier form with as much detail as possible. Your business name, tags and description will be used for the search capability of the site, so it is important that these clearly identify what your business provides.

After you have reviewed this page, visit the Add a listing page and tick that you acknowledge reading and agreeing to the Supplier Listing Guidelines.

Please ensure you keep your listing up to date. Listings must be updated at least every 12 months. A reminder email will be sent 1 month before, 1 week before and 1 day before. 

Please find below details on how to best promote your business.


Step 1 Choose a Supplier Type

First choose Service Provider as your business type. Your choice displays different options.

Step 2 Add your Business details
  • Your business name - The search capabilities will pull from this section.
  • Your primary business address - This is required, but you can choose to display your location or not. Please tick the box if you would like your address displayed on the listing. *Only businesses within the Sunshine Coast LGA can be listed on the site.
  • Choose your primary supplier category - Pick your main business category that best suits your service. You can only pick one from this section. 
  • Choose secondary categories - Choose any secondary categories that are relevant to your business. Eg: your main business category is Sport Major Events but you also service business and lifestyle events and Weddings.
  • Tick if you are a First Nations owned business.
  • Service areas: Choose any services that you provide. These will be used as tags and the search capabilities will pull from this section.
Step 3 Add a Business description
  • Make sure to add a detailed description of your services that applies to the events and sports industry. The first sentence will show up under your tile/image on the main supplier page. 
  • If you ticked 'Sustainability' in the service area, please include details on your sustainability offerings in the description so consumers know more about you.
  • The search capabilities will pull from this section so it is important to clearly outline what services you provide so that you don’t miss out on potential opportunities.
Step 4 Add your Contact details
  • Phone number 
  • Email address 
  • Website URL 
  • Primary Online Shop URL - if different from your primary website
Step 5 Add your Social links
  • Enter the links to each of your social media accounts.
  • Make sure to put in the full URL including https://
Step 6 Add a Cover image 
  • This image will be visible in the search results.
  • You may add your logo here.
  • It will display as a landscape picture (wider than it is tall) in a standard photo format (jpg, png, gif) that is less than 4MB but is at least 600px by 600px.
Step 7 Add your Gallery images
  • Add up to 10 images of your business or services here.
  • Users will be able to view the images in a gallery.
  • Image must be good quality and high resolution if possible.
Step 8 Add any Videos
  • This section is not mandatory however, if you have any video showcasing your business offerings you can embed a video from YouTube or Vimeo here.
Step 9 Add any useful Files or Documents
  • This section is not mandatory but can be used to upload files such as pricing guides or packages that you have on offer.
  • These can be updated by logging into your account.
Final Step Review and Submit
  • Once you press review you can preview your listing.
  • From here you can save a draft of the listing to amend it further or send it to the Events Connect Team for approval.
  • Once approved it will be live.

  • Your venue name - The search capabilities will pull from this section.
  • Your primary venue address - This is required, but you can choose to display your location or not. Please tick the box if you would like your address displayed on the listing. *Only businesses within the Sunshine Coast LGA can be listed on the site.
  • Choose your primary venue category - Pick your main business category that best suits your service. You can only pick one from this section. 
  • Choose secondary categories - Choose any secondary categories that are relevant to your business. Secondary categories are other types of events you service. Eg: your main business category is Sport Major Events but you also service business and lifestyle events and Weddings.
  • Tick if you are a First Nations owned business.
  • Venue Services - Choose any extra services that you provide.
  • Venue Features - Choose any additional features that you provide. These will be used as tags and the search capabilities will pull from this section.
  • Venue Capacity - What size events does your venue cater for? You can tick multiple allocations if your venue caters for small events as well as large events. 
Step 3 Add a Business description
  • Make sure to add a detailed description of your services that applies to the events and sports industry. The first sentence will show up under your tile/image on the main supplier page. 
  • If you ticked 'Sustainability Practices' in the venue feature section, please include details on your sustainability pracitices in the description so consumers know more about you.
  • The search capabilities will pull from this section so it is important to clearly outline what services you provide so that you don’t miss out on potential opportunities.
